If it starts to run out of steam at 60-70 mph, you might consider checking 
for adequate fuel delivery. Maybe a dirty fuel filter or a restriction 
somewhere, impeding the fuel flow. Get yourself a dwell meter and set the 
points to 32° (each,for dual points), feeler guages are only slightly 
better than nothing for setting points.
