Re: [Chrysler300] No gas!!!

Owen:

One more idea...I had a 1962 TriPower Pontiac Grand Prix (sorry - but it was
a car that GM thought could be "kinda like a Letter Car", when you think
about it!) w/ a fuel block and neoprene hoses (non-stock) to each of the
Rochesters (You didn't state what kind of fuel lines you have - a stock
setup would eliminate the situation I am describing). When the car was in a
warm situation and at an idle or in traffic after a run, the heat from the
manifold crossover in the center of the intake would emanate up and
literally boil the gas in the neoprene lines.

I doubt that's what is happening w/ you, if you have stock Six Pack lines,
but just sharing an experience (switching to repro fuel lines at the carbs
fixed this issue).

>First off I have to tell you this problem is not happening on my 300 letter
car, but on my 440 GTX. I figure the list is kinda quiet at the moment and
I'm sure that this could just as easily be a letter car
problem.......besides it's got me stumped! Anyway here goes....
>
>The problem has only occurred irregularly after a long run, the most recent
when I attended a car show and was parking up. The car just cuts out, runs
out of gas, wind it over ,nothing at the carbs ( 3x2 Holley's). Pull the
fuel line off at the pump, wind it over, nothing. So happens the previous
owner of the car comes over, "happened to me a few times too, poor some gas
down the centre carb". So do that, starts, runs nice, until the next time
that is!
>Their seems to be no real pattern to it occurring, apart from the fact it's
always happed to me after a reasonably long run, and is back around idle
speed. Fuel pump? Air lock? Carb?
>Thanks for any help or suggestions, before I start pulling things part,
would be greatly appreciated.
