Whatever your solution to the wiper problem, staret  using Rainex.  With 
Rainex, you don't have to use your wipers at all, and  you can see through your 
entire windshiled.  Admitedly, it isn't very good  in mist, or at 15 miles per 
hour, but in a driving rainstorm, you can't beat  it.
