Re: [Chrysler300] South Lake Tahoe, CA Meet/Ashtray restoration

Hi Doug,

I assume this spray coating can be used for the front ashtray as well as the
small ash trays that would fit on the back of the bucket seats?
The small ash trays have small amounts of pits/rust and their appearance
could be improved.

Do you have a website for this Eastwood?

Thanks-

Rich, Eastwood has a spray coating that looks just like zinc plating. I have
used it on my H ash trays.

Brandt and all:

Looking forward to seeing you and a bunch of others there, Brandt!

Speaking of smokers, does anyone have any recommendations on cleaning
and restoring the insides of yucky automobile ashtrays? I don't think
that tar is soluble in aqua regia. I was able to disassemble the one in
the front of my C-300 so I could wire brush it, but was not satisfied
with the results.
