Ivan -
I believe that Dave has set up the listserver to remove attachments. This
is one way he keeps the board virus-free. You should post your picture on
a
website like yahoo and then send us the link.

Hi all,
Does anyone know where i can obtain a spare piece of glass for a
mirror-matic. The one i have has chipped.
I have found where i can get one re-silvered but cannot find a place
that can make a new one.
Maybe someone out there might have a used spare????
Regards,
Dan D.

Would anyone out there know where I can get a grill emblem for my 300 L?
Mine cracked over the winter and I would like to replace it.

Hi Dan and Group,
The gentleman at the following email advertises on eBay and provides new
mirror glass for 60's & 70's MOPAR mirrors. They are hand ground and are
a
reasonable fit. Maybe he can help.

Barry:
There is no reason that I can think of to EVER buy another paint chip
printout unless you want to put it into your scrapbook.
See the following:
http://www.autocolorlibrary.com/cgi-bin/search/search.pl
First find the make of your car, click "view selection".... Then find the
year and click on "view chips". Click on the thumbnail to see a larger
view.
These are exactly what you get when you buy one on E$$BAY. I laugh every
time I see someone selling one on E$$BAY.
The 3 digit paint code (as in "NN-1") is the number that should be in your
build sheet or vender tag on your car.
Take the (5 digit) paint color code number with you to your local auto
paint store (that mixes the old Ditzler or PPG paint codes) and have a
batch mixed up for you.
As I recall, I originally found out about this from Wayne Graefen on this
listserver. Thanks again Wayne!

Dan,
You may have to make one as you would be extremely lucky to find
one.
One of my MoPar friends had the same prob. He found a junkyard mirror
glass
that was bigger but in perfect shape, and had it cut to size. Any glass
shop
which cuts window glass can do this in a jiffy. None in your area?? You
can
do it yourself with a cheap glass cutting tool .
He made the little 'hole' in the silvering by putting a pencil with
a
rubber on the top, the same size as the hole, in a drill press, and using
a
dab of valve grinding paste to take the silvering off .
It looks like factory!
