Hi All,
Once again, I am seeking input from the knowledgeable.
The engine of my 300C is tuned to perfection. While the car is in neutral,
it starts easily, idles nicely, and with a little warmup time I can rev
the engine and it sounds/responds with vigor. The second carb kicks in and
the engines sounds great. THIS IS WITH THE CAR STATIC.
Yet, when I put the car in gear and take it out on the road it is sluggish
and vibrates under load ???? (At highway speed it seems to smooth out.)
Could it be torque converter or the drive shaft out of balance ???
HELP !

Hi gang,
While trying to install my hood this past weekend, I realized I must
have the wrong hood hinges. I got them from a guy in Texas who
insisted they would fit my H. They are from a 61 Dodge, and he said
they are the same as the 62 300. Obviously he was wrong. Does
anyone out there in 300 land have a pair of correct hinges I could
obtain in a hurry? Please respond with price & shipping cost to

Subject: 77 New Yorker Brougham For Sale
Hi again,
I know this isn't a 300 but I just talked to a friend of mine, he has
a 77 NYer 4 door HT for sale. He's in Florence, SC. This car has a
440 4bbl(a little warm), electronic ignition (no lean burn), about
100K miles, dual exhaust, new brakes, beautiful chrome, etc. Pale
yellow in color, there is a little rust on one quarter panel and at
the bottom of the vinyl top area on the c-pillar.
It has power leather seats, AM/FM radio, and a bunch of other power
stuff. I rode in this car on a few occasions and it is really a
smooth and quiet ride! I bought my 300-H from this man. He's asking
$3,500. Email me for his phone number if you want more information.
His name is Herb Moore (he's in the club directory).

At one point we lowered Jennifer's '62 300 for a custom car show we were
attending.
Now that the motor, front end and Astradome are going through a
rebuild/restoration, I am looking to return the rear end to its stock
height.
My problem is that I can't find the factory U-Bolts that I took off the
car! I know I kept them, I just can't find them.
Does anyone have a spare pair of U-Bolts out there?

For your purposes, the first two numbers in the VIN are the most
important.
for example,
81 = Newport
82 = 300 Sport series
83 = New Yorker
84 = 300 letter series
Third digit 3 = 1963
Fourth digit 3 = Detroit manufacturing plant
Remaining digits = sequential serial numbers for all models; starting with
100001.
Thus, the VIN would indicate that it is a 1963 300J.
