Re: [FWDLK] 1959 361 motor head question

Hi Rich
I did a bit more research--You are correct on the 58 COMMANDO
All head casting possibilities were 1.94/1.60 valve sizes

Still some confusion on the 59 COMMANDO
I was told by someone well in the know,, there were about 6 casting numbers that could be put on the 59 361 engine.
All were 1.94/1.60 configuration---EXCEPT for one
Casting 1851509 had 2.08 intakes

He was not certain whether these heads were confined to the 413 in the 300E or also went on the GOLDEN COMMANDO

1958-350 CI were 1.95 and 1.60 per the service manual. Looks like the 361 got a little bigger valves.

Hello All

Just happened to notice in the 1959 PLYMOUTH SERVICE MANUAL SUPPLIMENT
that on page 33 it states that the 361 cylinder heads came with 2.08
intake valves and 1.74 exhaust valves.

IS THAT CORRECT????
I was under the impression that the sizes in those days were 1.94/1.6
