Re: [FWDLK] Another Dashboard Refinishing Question

Yes Phil.  My ’56 Plymouth had a less than Semi-Gloss & somewhat mottled texture to reduce glare; similar if not the same as your ’55 DeSoto.  I achieved a near perfect match by powdercoating my dash at one of our local shops. The dash face/grey was also powder coated.   Attached a picture for you.

Subject: [FWDLK] Another Dashboard Refinishing Question

The metal dash top on my '55 Desoto came with a flat finish that was not smooth, but had a texture similar to that found on metal stereo components.  Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to re-create that original look?  Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
