Re: [FWDLK] Forward Look Door Help Needed

Bend the end of a butter knife up 1/4" at 90 degrees. You can then slip it under the handle and push on the spring clip to release the handle.

I have never understood the need for that special tool. I've removed dozens with the old bent butter knife.

I am in the process of removing all the chrome from the fenders and doors and cleaning, rust proofing and lubricating the window mechanisms of my 59 Coronet and have come upon the normal Mopar stopping point: How to get the handles and window cranks off of the doors without destroying the door panels (which are pretty decent).  I have seen the OEM removal tools that are priced out of the reach of most, but am looking for a normal tool and method to make this happen.

Any thoughts and/or advise will be appreciated.
