If it's only an inch, maybe it's the tire pressure. The owner's manual
called for something really low like 24 lbs. Or the tire diameter; they
vary between types and brands.
Three inches, different issue.

Subject: [FWDLK] Actual orig heights of 57/58 PLYM
Hi Members
After a few restorations on 57/58 PLYMOUTS (all 2dr h/t), it always
seems the final 'overall height' of the car is too high by 1 to 3 "
This is according to the spec stated in several places that the 2 dr h/t
should be 54" overall height
It always seems the rear replacement springs are too stiff
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Does anyone know for sure that the 57/58 PLYMOUTH 2dr h/t from the
factory was 54" ????????????
...........or was this a guess and estimate of mother mopar????
ALSO, was that measurement without any passengers???
or a full up loaded car???
It would appear that the springs for a 54" car would have to be bowed
DOWN-which does not make real sense.
I was wondering if anyone on the list ever did research on this topic in
the past
