If these are good quality rubber gaskets you should not
need any sealer. Just make sure both surfaces are super clean, the edges of the
valve cover and mounting holes are not bent,and wipe down the gaskets with ru
glide or something similar. Do not over tighten! Dick

Subject: [FWDLK] Valve cover gaskets
Hey folks, looking for some advice.
Going to be putting some new valve cover gaskets on a poly
318, since these gaskets are rubber and not cork, are you guys putting them on
dry or are you using some sealer. If you're using sealer, what
kind?
Should I put a bead or rtv black or copper on
them?
