Well, yes-and-no, as to the efficiency of the 57-58 passenger- side rear view mirror. If you position the mirror face as far inward and downward as possible, that mirror's image will show a portion of another car's grille area, which happens to be in the adjacent lane in your blind side (while you have your head facing forward). More than once another car's presence, there, was announced by its (grille-area) suddenly appearing in that mirror. I've had the same problem with the factory dual strut mirror. I used an NOS one on the passenger side of my 58 Plymouth and set the mounting holes using the factory template.
