I've seen both terms applied to this part, in "official" documentation like parts books. Maybe its per-manufacturer. InterestingI stand (well sit) corrected. I Have always thought the headlight surrounds just like tail lite and park lite surrounds were bezels. Never knew of that word till I got into old MoPars years ago Wonder why they differentiated them from the other items? I've had several '55/'56 Chrysler & Imperial cars over the years and still have seven. That said I have found that all '55's had chrome headlight rims and '56's had painted headlight rims. The painted rim is not a chrome one just painted , it is made differently. This is just FYI for what it's worth. George (with '55/'56 Crown Imperial limo's). I've always loved '56 Windsors since my old man bought one in '61. I'm a little suspicious of this one though, there are signs that it has had a quickie used-car-lot style paint job thrown on, as several other aspects of the car show wear around the edges that wasn't corrected. Both '56 Windsors I've owned had chrome headlight trim rings instead of partially painted like this one, so I wonder if they're trying to cover up pitting, etc.
