For some inexplicable reason, I've never been able to field strip that clock. It's boxed up, now, awaiting shipment to where-ever, but, the front stem-winder knob has always seemed to be non-removable which would allow the thing to be opened up. Many times, over the years, I've shot WD40 into it, from a rear opening, and the clock has begun to operate. This time, even using a jumper wire directly to the battery: NADA... So, it's off to see the Clock Wizard... On 2/9/2012 3:16 PM, Terry and Andree Hoeman wrote: Actually bet you can remove the rear cover and clean the points then slap some lube in and be done. Someone at McPherson must teach a course in that??? Personally happy when clocks don't work so they don't try and drain batteries. Well....the site reference referred me to S/M Electro-Tech. They inform me that they don't do clock repairs, only quartz-installations (NO thank you!), but they did refer me to Instrument Services Co., of IL. I.S.C. was closed, but I left a message for them to call me, tomorrow, at their earliest convenience. I've left a phone message for Classic Auto Electric, of McPherson, KS but before they call me, and even if they do, does anyone have a favorite clock repair shop to recommend to me?
