Thank you Ron for clearing that up.
I think I have a three speed pushbutton dash bezel and
maybe a pushbutton box for a 56 Imperial.
Also have a set of a near NOS appearing pushbutton bezel and
buttons for a 57 or 58 DeSoto; will have to find a matching picture of someone's
car so I can ID it; will need to get it to a good home.

Gary, my guess it is a misprint. Only late in the year
produced Imperial and some New Yorkers and Chrysler 300B's had the cast
iron torqueflite.

of the 1956 DeSoto cars sold were advertised as having a "three speed"
automatic transmission. I thought the only cast iron three speed
for 1956 came in the Imperial and the rest of the line received
Powerflite two-speeds until the 1957 model year?
