Hi Mike, you need an SL137. It is
the same as the SL136 but with the larger thread. You can look them up on
our website under parts and supplies>switches>1958 Plymouth. They are $35 here if you can’t
get them from NAPA.

switch
Some folks have used a switch from Harley Davidson available at the
dealer. They also claim they last longer than the NAPA switches.

Took out my 58 for a show Saturday and found while on the way I had no
brake lights. I found I had tail and signal lights, which leads me to
think it is my stop light switch. (I had the same problem last year w/my
57). I went to NAPA
where I got my 57's part # SL134. Returning home I found my 57's power
brake switch is different than my 58's non power brake switch. I returned
to NAPA with my
switch and was told an SL136 would work. I found the prongs match but the
thread is 1/4 inch where my old one is 1/2 inch. I purchased an adapter,
and hooked it up. It failed to work.
I contacted Andy Berbaum in Mass, who said the 1/2 inch was the correct size
but he is fresh out.
Does anyone know where I can purchase a brake light switch that will fit. (I
have a 318 ci).
Thanks,
Mike
