How about a relay? Carry a model car, maybe a 1960, pass
it off like a baton or the Olympic torch?

I'm warming up to this whole crazy idea! Route
66? There are probably more scenic routes. At least one car would
probably need to commit to the entire route.
The Classic Thunderbird Club of America had a 48 in 48 tour
where they drove thru every continuous state in 48 months, many cars dropping
in and out regionally.
I vote for starting in Holland, Jim can get the ball
rolling, and then continue west to Pomona, California. As Horace Greely
said, "Go west, young man!"

how about a
Pomona to Pomona cruise? start with Pomona CA, pick up everyone along the
way- end in Pomona NJ... on my lawn- have a FWDLK BBQ, then take a fin shot
off the roof to give a grandstand shot from carlisle some competition??? to
make it fair- i'll drive out to ohio or something and be a tour guide
eastbound! fun though but wont happen... shame there arent more mopar
meets within a 2 week or less timeframe- can have east, middle, western
fwdlk meets that can all cross paths at some
point...

Re: [FWDLK] Cruise Thoughts
Rolling sounds good
to me!
How about driving
x-country to New York, Miami, or any other port in the east, and then
continue from Amsterdam, Antwerpen or any other port in Europe? That would
draw some media attention.
How far could we
continue into Europe? Asia? I know of some enthusiast in
Turkey.
Jim, The
Netherlands.
What
about a "rolling " cruise where some of us join for part of the cruise but
not all of it? There could be a predetermined route, maybe across the
USA and Canada, with those of us who wish dropping in and dropping out as
desired. Maybe for some charity? Maybe with some national TV
attention?
Predetermined overnight stops on predetermined
dates, some sightseeing. Probably never more than 10 to 15 vehicles at
anyone time - no real limit, but always a mix of Fins. Maybe stopping
at some car shows along the way - Stowe, Vermont has a great show during the
second weekend in August.
Just thinking.
