[FWDLK] 56 Chrysler Power window lifts

Re: The power window parts. Part number 1642424 does not appear in my
1955-58 Chrysler Products parts list, but nearby parts number 1642409 is for
'56 Chrysler-DeSoto 2-dr power window wiring and 1642434 is for '56 special
4dr power window motors (all Mopar brands). Close, but no cigar. The
number appears to be a '56 Mopar number in the power window area and may be
a later revision to the 11/58 issue of the parts manual.

Can anyone help me out with a set of power window lifts I ended up with =
several years ago. The front lifts have a mopar part number of =
1642424-23. I cannon find a part number on the rear lifts. They appear =
to be quarter window lifts and have HUPPOWER=20
DETROIT stamped on them. When I got these they were supposed to be for =
a 55-56 Desoto or Chrysler 2 Door. They don't mount up the same way as =
the power windows do in my 56 Adventurer. They don't have the same =
numbers as lifts designated for a Plymouth or Dodge. Somewhere, I =
remember reading that Hupp might have built power window lifts for =
Chrysler. =20

Also, if anyone have a power window set up for a 56 2-door Desoto or =
Chrysler for sale, please let me know.

Happy New Year,

Allen Faltus

I found this in Hot Rod Mag. You list what you need shipped and from =
where to where and it gets bid on. They come to you.
Tell them what it is, what condition it's in and so forth and it =
looks like it may be a real "go to site".
i haven't tried it, but it looks good and not only for cars, they =
deal with furnIture and anything else.
here's the link:

	uShip.com

Hope it helps someone and Happy New Year to all y'all,
Ray=
