i can contribute a little pro-volvo material... my winter driver when i need extra cargo space [stuff the 59 fury can't haul] i drive my inherited 87 740 turbo wagon...

this past year- i was at a red light on a major road- it was night- i look up in the mirror- saw headlights- looked again- closer- on the last look there was not time to dump the clutch and try to launch through the intersection- i was rear-ended by a chevy envoy SUV- the speed limit is 45... he never hot the brakes- shot the wagon through the intersection, as i had let off the brake... the frt of the envoy was pretty mashed, my tailgate opened, thought the lic plate light lense was broken, but it was parts of the chevy- his grill, bumper cover and both composite lights cracked thogh they didnt contact my car...

i didnt notice until 2 days later that the qtr was buckled and one side of the wagon is about 5/8" shorter than the other... rear door has to be slammed to latch now....

so the volvo of th 80s won over the 07 or newer SUV.... kinda stinks as it has a 940 intercooler, blowoff setup, 5spd, and dusts off 5.0 mustangs, civic Si's... stuff like that
