I don't follow you. We're talking about the TRUNK LID
weatherstrip now. I heard about doing that for the old roof rail w/s that he
used to sell. Does he sell a different trunk lid w/s now than what he offered
five years ago ?

Ron: You have to make a
cut inside the centre of that weatherstrip and it will then work just fine. We
noticed that problem when installing same on my 62 chrysler 300H convertible.
