Here in Idaho At 2200 feet most of our octane is 87-90-92, but the Stinker Stations (Sinclair) have a 93 octane unleaded premium. Just about everybody's mix contains 10% Ethanol, but that doesn't seem to affect performance one way or the other in my Dodge, Infiniti or Corvair. Our gas prices are still stuck at $4+ per gallon, but our state Republican leadership is, as usual, in bed with the oil companies and they refuse to investigate why. Our cheapest 87 octane is $4.21 cash; $4. 31 for credit card. Nice to read that the national average price for un-lead is around $3.70. Our gas, at least is not advertised as having any significal alcohol in it. I'm fairly certain that the Regular was 87 octane on the entire trip; I was most concerned about the HORRIBLE price of gas, at OVER $2.50 !
