The under dash units show up on ebay from time to time. If you're not
hung up on the"period accessory" look, the new rotary
compressors are much more efficient and compact than the old style units.
The guys at
www.vintageair.com have a lot of neat stuff, lots of useful
information at
www.aircondition.com .

Are Mark IV units still made? Or do I have to find an old one and
have it refurbished. What about all the underhood
paraphernalia? Is that still around? Do you know of anyone
with a unit available? If so, let me know. Thanks.

John, Mark IV is the industry standard, for under dash A/C.

Does anyone have a picture of the under dash a/c unit that goes into a
1957 Plymouth? My '57 Belvedere convertible originally had an under
dash a/c unit in it, but was not there when I bought the car. I
would like to find one that is operable. Also was there more than
one type unit available? Thanks in advance.
