You have $250k in a CD? That's nuts. You should have all that $$$ in an
energy sector mutual fund ;-)
Seriously, don't go investing in that metal-stamping business. You
could easily beat that return by investing in a nice diversified
portfolio.
And to answer your question; my '58 does indeed need floor pans.

to make floor pans yield a profit to outweigh the interest income.....
