I haven't read anything 'in the literature' that crosses my desk, about
insurance related claims, or warranties, etc (such as occurred when
Firestone/Bridgestone had its difficulties with certain products and
vehicles, recently).
So far, there hasn't appeared to be any catastrophic tire failures that
have resulted in serious bodily injury, but, the year is young........
In that regard, Ron, remember Sam Spagnola, at that WPC national meet,
in DeeTroit, where his brand new Coker bias plys ALL failed on him, in
his trip from CA to MI?
Coker, reluctantly, agreed to pro-rate the replacement of his tires,
but/and informed him that those tires shouldn't have been driven over 55
mph !!!!???

Is this maximum tire life thing particular to radials (eg., internal belt
separation), or is it true for bias plys as well ? What are the particulars
regarding why they say that the tires should be replaced ?
Ron
