Sometimes it isn't much more work, except you have to deal with ~11 quarts of ATF, the shifter cable, the driveshaft, rear cross-member, and dragging that big ol' e-brake drum out from under the tunnel (oh, and that 'other' cable is always a little bit o' fun too!), and the extra clearance for the big tilt' to get it all out of there w/o scraping the radiator support- and all that weight- Oh, and when it hits the heater box- which I need a new one of anyhow from previous owner's disti-bashing :-). Easier if they both need to come out for sure. -----Original Message----- From: Forward Look Mopar Discussion List [mailto:L-FORWARDLOOK@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jan & Roger van Hoy Sent: Saturday, February 23, 2008 12:49 PM To: L-FORWARDLOOK@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [FWDLK] How do I disconnect trans and remove the 383? But isn't it easier overall to pull the engine and trans as a unit? I've done it that way a number of times and had no problems. --Roger van Hoy, Washougal, WA, '55 DeSoto, '58 DeSoto, '56 Plymouth, '66 Plymouth, '41 Dodge ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bob Moore" <remoore@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <L-FORWARDLOOK@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, February 23, 2008 10:40 AM Subject: Re: [FWDLK] How do I disconnect trans and remove the 383? > Hi Lou, > > Not too hard as long as you can turn the engine!
