Comments below from collector car glass dealer Vic
Phillips.
I only wish to add that from brand to brand (LOF, PPG,
Chrysler, etc.) there were many shades of blues and greens as well, then
complicated by the fade factor starting on day one out of the dealership, then
complicated again by the individual eyes of the viewer. I know my own eyes
don't necessarily always give the same answer on a blue-green car that others
around me have.

Back in the early 50s they changed from green
to blue. Said the green hurt the eyes I was told. In the mid 50s you could get
either green or blue. The green and bronze they are doing today are mostly
on foreign windshields. All the original windshields I have had in the past for
50s thru 60s have all been blue shade. Thanks, Vic
