Shouldn’t
there be a body tag with a code for the original factory paint? Ask the seller
for a photo.

to agree with Marv. I've never heard of any "factory built and
painted" black '57 or '58 Furys, except in myth. Only the build
sheet would be proof or it being a factory car or a dealer paint job.

I guess I would
only accept the factory build card as proof of a special order color. I am
skeptical until such time as we have the vin and can look it up.. Might the
dealer paperwork only prove that the dealer painted the car for the
customer. Of course a close inspection might also provide the
proof.
