When I initially looked at the car, I didn't take note of whether it
also had CRL dash inserts, or not.
The door panels are finished in Coro style, but are in red/black, which
is really peculiar.
The seats look as if they were lifted from a CRL.
The engine compartment looks like it's in "driver" condition, which
contrasts with the new-appearing paintwork.
The trunk has wall-to-wall carpeting (IIRC, this is all from my memory),
and I don't think that the proud-seller provided any views of the car's
undercarriage.
Bottom line: it is a real Super-D convertible, but incorrectly finished
and apparently not too well
reconstructed, in its bodywork.

A little... knowledge... is a dangerous thing?
So Neil, what about the dash inserts and the CRL interior? Were they
options?
Isn't there ANYTHING ELSE wrong with this car?
[Not that I know; just asking...]

Ahhhh, Ye of little......KNOWLEDGE.
(That's OK, that's why I/we are here!)
I deciphered this car's Paint/Trim plate, over on the FWDLK's website,
when it was discussed, there.
However, in 1958, Grille 'teeth' ("vertical bars", as they were called,
in '58) WERE optionally available on each and every Dodge model (as
opposed to 1957, when they were only installed on Custom Royals & on
Custom Sierra wagons)..
So, 'you' can have a 1958 Custom Royal Super D500 convertible, without
the 'teeth', and/or 'you' could have a 1958 Coronet 6-cylinder 2-dr
sedan, WITH grille teeth.
