The saddest/stupidest comment occurs in the last paragraph, about trying
to sell it @ the B-J AFTER its "patina" is removed (revealing all the
detrioration, which underlies the old cosmoline
and surface rust, and everything ELSE, that MAKES it a unique
artifact.....

This is SO sad, that it's beyond even being  funny........

You dumb [ fill in the blank], how is the now- sanitized piece of
perforated sheetmetal any different from  any other cleaned-up wrecking
yard car?
