Title: Re: [FWDLK] '57 Plymouth Waking from Time Capsule - The Car Connection
Slight muddy odor, but not bad at all.
I think the springs had already snapped. The tail looked low before they even lifted her.

Oddly, I've wondered how that thing smelled from being where it's been for 50 years. Strange too that the rear springs appear to have broken, but the torsion bars are intact, as is the sheet metal.
I'm thinking multiple lifts may have stressed the springs..

Some sort of DVD compilation of the videos and photos surrounding the event might be a neat idea...anyone know if there will be something of this sort available?

I just hope somebody(s) is taking lots of pictures, shooting videos, and such. Sign me up for a copy if so.
Has anyone made copies of the video shorts they've had on stations? I've spent hours waiting on my dial-up to load, only to restart or get parts. Grrrr..

There is another buried Plymouth...
The Belvedere isn't the only Chrysler product to be placed more than six feet under by the otherwise peaceful citizens of Oklahoma. In 1997, they buried a Plymouth Prowler in the city's Centennial Park.
It's due to be unearthed in 2037.http://www.thecarconnection.com/Auto_News/Daily_Auto_News/57_Plymouth_Waking_from_Time_Capsule.S173.A12477.html <http://www.thecarconnection.com/Auto_News/Daily_Auto_News/57_Plymouth_Waking_from_Time_Capsule.S173.A12477.html>
