The ’58 Plymouth
material is available at Rigidized Metals, in Buffalo, NY.
The pattern name is ‘1-SQ’. If he still works there, you could ask
for David Miske. The kicker is this pattern is only available in 8 inch by 8
foot sections – not big enough for the ‘hockey stick’ panel
on a ’58, and there is no way for them to make it any larger.
Which reminds me… I need to call the
guy who is reproducing the ’58 inserts.

Subject: [FWDLK] Have a request
from Norway
I need some information on available gold anodized
aluminum. A group of car collectors from Norway
visited the Walter
P Chrysler
Museum today and needs a
reference for replacement gold anodized trim for his DeSoto. I know
that the 57 Fury trim is unavailable but what is close or similar to the 58
Fury that I might recommend to them. One of them has a DeSoto that uses
the same sort of gold anodized aluminum accent panels as the '57-58
Plymouths.
