“Junkyard
Johnny” Rosen has the worst reputation in the world of car parts. A friend of
mine bought something from him many years ago. The item was described as near
perfect over the phone so my friend paid a premium price, but what arrived was
a horribly pitted piece of junk. And no refund either.

Welcome to
the world of Johnny Rosen. What you see is his typical wardrobe -- a
tight swim suit and a pair of sandals. If you visit his place,
that is what he will be wearing. Usually the swim suit is
red!
He is
impossible to deal with in person. If you are interested in one of his
cars or parts, he will stop and say that he needs to send you a "written
proposal". When you get his letter, the price will be about 4
times what he told you when you were at his place. At least with ebay, he
is stuck with the final price!
