I am in a quandary here, Neil.
I can either vote Yes or No.
I am unable to abstain or make comment. Therefore, in my judgement, I can
only NOT cast a vote. Strangely, I had to contact YOU just to get the
opportunity to vote. Feels a lot like the monkeyshines that go on here with
politics in Washington State. If I may, I will tell you, and all listening
that I don't really care one way or the other..
Sure, I don't have to enter the RecRoom. In fact, I never go there anyway.
Yet I don't like being member of a list that offers a forum for "off-color"
stuff . .to me it is like staying too long at a bachelor party..it just gets
gross...>.my opinion.
If some FL members feel they must chat about race, sex, etc after a few
beers or whatever, to feel "human", still I feel this should not have a
place on the FL site (see initial site declaration by Dave, his site
created to share info about FL cars, nothing else). This site is for
Discussion of FL cars, not off-color jokes or porno pics.
Sure, I can handle, and enjoy some off-topic stuff, but if I want "edgy"
material, I can visit other sites.
I do not know what caused Dave to shut down the site, but I have the
greatest respect for him, and his judgement.
I would vote that Dave give the "edgy" guys and the RecRoom one final chance
to patrol THEMSELVES..Sadly, I predict that it won't be too very long
before someone goes over the top, because the relative anonymity of internet
access gives everyone implicit permission to go "over the top".
And so it has to be...

As an adjunct to the Rec Room's -"future" Poll, which site I attached,
here, yesterday, and as (it) appears on the FWDLK website's General
Discussion board, to date there have ONLY been some 60+ votes cast !
As a vote is readily-accessible, and takes all of a nanosecond to cast,
it would appear that the Poll actually reflects the number of "active"
members, who frequent these 'premises' !!!
I forget when the voting is to end, but, to answer a non-asked question:
there are
(WELL-) less than 100, apparently, "active"
members on the FWDLK site/boards!!!!
