>From an off-the-list discussion, the washer bag brackets are different between 1958 and 1959 Chryslers, as are the bags themselves. Rather than being a running change late in the 1958 model year, I would think that it was definitely changed with the model year change, because my 1958's build date was July 1, 1958, so my car must have been produced fairly near the end of 1958 production. Does anyone know what the last date or last VINs were for 1958 Chrylser production? If you hear of any 1958 Auto-Pilot parts, please let me know. I have most of the Auto-Pilot parts from a 1958 Imperial, but the Imperial has the control knob mounted on the dash, while the Chrysler control knob mounts on top of the steering column. Without that, I can't tell if the rest of the steering column is any different. In other words, does the Auto-Pilot mount on top of the steering column tube, or is it part of a collar that integrates with a shorter-than-normal steering column tube for Auto-Pilot-only cars?
