Corroless was a much better product. Too bad it's not available anymore. I
painted the frames of both my 58 Ply and 59 Dodge with Corroless after having
them sandblasted. I then topcoated with rustoleum black. It's been about eight
years now for the Dodge's frame with no signs of rust. I'm in damp and humid New
England, BTW.
The article that you read was probably in Auto Restorer magazine. They
rated POR-15 fair-to-poor when following the manufacturer's directions. I'm
hoping that my extra precautions (sandblasting, etc) will create a more
permanent bond to the metal.

And-I carefully sanded the original paint down to bare metal for good adhesion
That didn't matter either.
Somewhere I read a printed story on POR 15 that backed up my experience
with it. . Wish I had saved it. Author concluded that it was a seriously over
hyped (and priced) coating that did not deliver as promised-
