Bill:
Chrysler did not pay the government one dime for interest. What happened:
At the last moment, before the deal was signed for the government guaranty -- a
young treasury dept. official asked for warrants on the deal. Chrysler paid
off the bank loans with interest and then paid the government
$400,000,000 + to retire the warrants. That is the only money received by the
government. How do I know this? Gerald Greenwald was the Vice Chairman of
Chrysler and he made the deal... He also told me the inside info!
Sherwood Kahlenberg
P.S. Anyone have a pair of rear quarter panels for a 1958 Chrysler 300D?
