| Hi Jan,   I was
searching for the same thing, and it turned out that eBay was the solution : I
had a automatic search set up with "ring pinion mopar -489" as search string,
and just sit and waited. After a few weeks of analysing the offers, I finally
bought a very good condition used 2.93 set for $25.00. Shipping was $62.00 by
FedEx, so the total was $87.00. Not bad, considering a NOS set is typically
sold for around $400.00 at the usual vendors.   The only drawback was that it is almost impossible to
find a 3.18 ratio : almost all sets sold on eBay have a ratio below 3.00 or over
4.00.   Vincent

Hi, my
'57 Fury's rear axle is at the shop right now and it turned out to be too worn
to be any good. Where
might I find a new pinion & ring set? It is a 8
3/4" axle with 1634983 casting number and 1 3/8"
pinion. The
only spare I have is a 3.73 ratio which is a bit too much for me - I would
rather have one closer to the original 3.18. Any
leads? Jan   ************************************************************* To unsubscribe or set your subscription options,
