Re: [FWDLK] cracked head?

Don't worry about it, that's normal, the exhaust manifold stud holes go clear into the water jacket on the B-engines. Just remember to put a bit of sealant on the threads before you screw the bolt back in to keep the anti freeze from seeping out later.

Hi all,

Today I removed the left side exhaust manifold on my 361 V-8, and when I removed the bolt in the very rear (closest to the firewall) coolant dripped out. I lost enough to create a puddle on the floor that was about 16" in diameter. This can't be good. I'm guessing I have a blown gasket, or worse, a cracked head?
