I had a Chevy Brochure on Police cars (since sold on eBay, I think).
They had various packages. Basically they started with a 2" tube from
the truck to behind the dash. This had a pull rope in it and it was for
running the wires from the truck to the radio and suchlike in, on and
around the dash. They also had wires built in for the Federal Bars and
spotlights. You can order different packages with things like Rear
inside door latch and window controls delete, spotlights, various
brackets for certain radio/radar equipment, and optional
engines/handling packages.
I have a "good 'ol Boy" a mile from me that completes New Police cars
to order, takes in trades and rebuilds them for smaller (Limited
budgets) police depts. Always has 15-20 sitting around his shop along
the road. He has quite a business.

I would think the manufacturers would have this information, but might
be
reluctant to share it. Knowing the sheer quantity of vehicles sold to
various branches of government would upset most of us.
That includes Hudson Hornet!
