I have been thinking about a process where I would take something like a weathered ingsignia off the car, imprint it in clay, use that imprint as a mold to pour epoxy, insert pins to have something to go back on the car with like the original and then spray the finished product to look like the original.  I have not figured out what spray would do that yet.  Maybe some others on this list have done that and would have suggestions.   Some stuff you can not get and some that you can has a absurd price.
