The trim is either anodized aluminum or stainless
steel depending on which piece you're holding. Anodized aluminum will not clean
right up unless you remove the anodizing. Most anodized pieces were silver while
the medallion in the center of the grill was anodized gold.
The headlight bezels are aluminum, as is the grill,
to the best of my recolection. The hood letters and spears on TOP of the fenders
are chromed pot metal. The side and fin trim on a Savoy is all stainless except
for the "V" and "S_A_V_O_Y" emblems, which are chromed pot metal. The
exterior door handles are also stainless.
If your car has the vertical bars on the lower
valence, I'm pretty sure those are stainless too.

Trim!
I was wondering how
you polish the front trim. What do you use? I was told it is Aluminum and
tried using Mother's MAG & Aluminum Polish. It's just not working. I
would like to polish all my trim like the light bezel, fender brows, and
grill. There is minor pitting on some pieces is there anything what do you
recommend to clear this up. And what should the front trim look like? I've
seen some people paint theirs what was this trims actual finish.
Thanks, Joey
