Before going, did you post a notice about the show on this and both the
Chrysler 300 lists? Do they have a website you could put links to on
all these lists? Just wondering.
Several WPC meets are listed on the FWDLK Calendar for that weekend. 1
in Burbank and 1 in LA.

Attended last week-end.? Great show, great cars, lots of fun.?
Wondering if folks on this list were there?? Wonder if folks on the
list knew about it?? Wonder why there weren't more FWD Look type cars
there?? Seems to me it was a great chance to show off our favorite
cars but a bit lightly attended.

Not chastizing.? Just wondering about how to get the word out on this
type of event.? The WPC is planning a National Meet in the San
Francisco area in 2009.? I'm thinking ahead.

Subject: [FWDLK] 1961 Dodge D-500
Hey Guys,
?
Today I purchased a wrecked and rusted 1961 Dodge D-500 2-door hardtop
(minus engine and trans).? The rear quarter emblems are missing so?I
can't tell if it is a Phoenix, Pioneer, etc...?? The side trim on this
car extends all the way to the?leading edge of the front fender and is
an "upper/lower" trim similar to that on a '58 Plymouth Belvedere (at
least on the doors and front fenders).? A stainless "spear" on the
upper part of each front fender divides the trim into the two
"upper/lower" pieces.? I've looked at a bunch of '61 Dodges on the net
and have yet to find one with this particular side trim.??Every '61
Dart?I've seen has the side trim that ends?on the door and does not
extend to the front of the car.? This car is a total wreck, but does
have a little trim left and the super rare '61 D-500 emblem.? Has
anyone out there ever encountered a '61 with trim like this?? There
appears to be evidence that "Sportone" type inserts were once
installed between the upper and lower trim pieces.? This all looks
factory, but who knows?? Any help on this matter would be appreciated!
