Jack, If you still have the Ebay item number, or can find the withdrawn listing on Ebay -- they normally still have the documentation online after an item has been withdrawn -- you can report it to Ebay as a suspected scam. It won't have any legal impact, I don't think, but if they investigate and agree with you, the person won't be able to list on Ebay anymore, which is a pretty big hurt to these scumbags that are out to cheat people.
