If you have the original Lockheed brakes on the car, there should be two anchor bolts on the bottom of the rear backing plates as well as two adjusters mid way up on each side. The anchor bolts should have arrows on them. Turn the anchor bolts so the arrows are pointing toward each other. This will pull the bottom of each show in. Then fiddle with the adjusters to back the upper part of the shoes away from the drums. Up front you should have two wheel cylinders on each side - one top and one bottom - one for each shoe. You will also find an anchor bolt top and bottom. This time turn the anchor bolts so the arrows are pointing toward the wheel cylinder beside it. Again there are adjusters midway on each side, one for each shoe. These brakes do not have self-adjusters and do not have the small adjuster wheels on the bottom. Thus no need for the small openings.
