Vincent you can use air pressure from your compressor to pop the piston out of the cylinders. It shouldn't take much but you need to use caution to prevent the piston from flying out of control and hitting someone or something. If the cylinders are typical they will have corrosion beyond what can be safely removed. New ones would be best and are readily available. On your line clips, my 57 has the original lines and most of the clips intact but I don,t know if they are the same as 58 plus the car is up for the winter and hard to get under. If no 58 people help let me know and I will try. Brake lines are 3/16" and fuel line is 5/16". The service manual says that wheel cylinders can be cleaned of slight corrosion traces through the use of a 'crocus cloth', which my knowledge of technical english does not include (being french speaking). Can someone describe it to me ? ************************************************************* To unsubscribe or set your subscription options, please go to http://lists.psu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=l-forwardlook&A=1
