Shoot, I've seen a '72 or so Trans Am that had stickers on it reading "85 Buick 4dr" - the DMV in this state never sees what you register. All the police care about is your inspection's good, your lights work, your insurance and liscense are all up to snuff, and maybe they'd doublecheck the VIN. What it comes down to pretty much is so long as the car passes the safety inspection, you could put 12 headlights on it and it wouldn't matter - Bill K. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ron Waters" <ronbo97@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <L-FORWARDLOOK@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, August 19, 2004 7:41 PM Subject: [FWDLK] Legal Implications of Changing Years and Models > With so many people modifying their cars, what is the legality regarding, > say, changing a 57 Plymouth to a 58, or changing a Savoy to a Belvedere or > even a Fury ?
