You only need one number - call Don Ferris at Specialty Mobile Systems
(800-789-5250). Don is a man of his word who will give you a good price
and excellent service. He recently shipped my 58 DeSoto (not running) and
two daily drivers from MA to FL. We ran into a few glitches along the way,
but Don was pro-active in resolving them and bent over backwards to see that I
was happy.

Subject: [FWDLK] Auto
Transportation
Hi everyone, I have been a member of this list since the beginning and I
know auto transportation has been discussed many times in the past, sorry to
bring it up again but im in need of some recent advice, 4 and a half months
ago I paid a transportation company (AAA-Auto Advantage) $1400 in full,
up front, to ship a non forward look car, (a rolling 1930 model a body, and
frame) from Sterns Ky, to Kent, Wa. once I paid it seems they dont know me
anymore, they have not shipped my car nor do they contact me ever unless I
contact them first, then all I get is a reply like"no news yet" , or
"hopefully soon", im fed up with them, I realise its a long distance transport
but I know shippers ship from coast to coast every day and this company just
keeps giving me excuses.
Does anyone know of an auto transportation company they would recommend
that would ship my car in a timely manner like 30 days? any advice would be
very much appreciated, please email me so as not to annoy the other list
members with a discussion thats been done before in the past, thanks in
advance! Terry Breed
