Mike, I had a similar problem and the solution for me was to replace the brake hoses (I replaced all three - two front and one rear). It seems when the brake hoses get old, the inside of the hose breaks down and collapses and prevents the brake fluid from moving back through the line so when you take your foot off the brakes the brakes stay locked up until you back up and that helps release the pads. Hope this helps Harry in NC -----Original Message----- From: Forward Look Mopar Discussion List [mailto:L-FORWARDLOOK@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Mike & Chris Morelli Sent: Saturday, June 05, 2004 5:22 PM To: L-FORWARDLOOK@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [FWDLK] 57 Plymouth problems Need help with two things on my 57 Belvedere. 1) Since I owned the car (a 4 dr htp) in 1990, I have been unable to open the rear doors with the windows up. The windows stick in the rubber. Is this normal or was the restoration job done wrong. It was done 5 years before I bought her. 2) Lately when stopping (at times), the brakes lock up and the car pulls hard to the right. I put the car in reverse and the brakes unlock. Some time I can go miles with out this happening then sometimes it will happen 2 or 3 times in a row. Have been to my mechanic but he cant find anything. The car has factory power brakes. Any ideas. I don't want to wrap her around a pole. Thanks, Mike 57 Belvedere 58 Belvedere
