Fred, I used the Imperial Services mount for installing a 727 into a 57 Mopar. It is essentially the same as the 57 mount, except the holes for attaching the mount to the tranny are spaced to fit a 727. IS has these in stock. I did not have to relocate the crossmember. The factory tranny/engine spacer is .75 thick. The adapter I used is 1.0 inch thick. This caused the tranny to move back .25 inch, so the holes did not align with the mount. I just attached the mount to the tranny, positioned the tranny to align the holes left & right, and then drilled new holes into the mount, using the crossmember holes as a guide. Bolt in place. I used a 1962 727. I am not sure that all 727s have the same location for the tranny mount. My 727 is 21 inches from the front of the tranny case to the center of the mount holes (located on the tail shaft extension housing). This is the same as my old 56 PowerFlight with bell housing. If you are replacing a 56 - 61 cast iron TorqueFlight, I think this dimension is 3 inches longer. Maybe some other list member will know about the cast iron TF and the later 727 dimensions. Did you have to have that mount made special for your car or did you use one they had made up? Also did you have to relocate the crossmember at the trans? Called and talked to imperial services and he said to ask you he couldnt remember about moving the crossmember. Thanks, Fred Lang 57 Dodge HEMI
