Powerflite was last offered in 1961. Prior to 1960 it was available on all 6-cylinder models and most V8 models. But with the arrival of the A-904 for 1960, the Powerflite became a V8-only transmssion. It, and the cast-iron cast Torqueflite, were replaced by the new A-727 Torqueflite in 1962.
